The being formerly known as “Kanye West” made a promise in the mid-2010s that one day, Yeezys would be available to everyone who wanted them. With the support of his adidas family, Ye has been able to get many of his footwear releases to a point that allows them to find homes in collections of those who actually want to wear them.
Over the years, casual and savvy sneaker consumers alike have criticized the Yeezy 350 v2 for reaching a certain level of ubiquity that’s led the design to lose a lot of its excitement, which restocks like January 22nd’s “Blue Tint” – first launched in 2017 – have aided. Handfuls of adidas Yeezy offerings have yet to retro, and the former-Mr. West keeps teasing new designs, so criticism regarding the brand’s “staleness” arguably falls short of any substantial credibility. Besides, Ye joined adidas for the very reason that so many “sneakerheads” have turned their back on his footwear: he wanted to make product that consumers could easily find on the shelves at all times.
Enjoy official images of the “Blue Tint” Yeezys here below, as you wait to try your luck at a pair on Saturday, January 22nd.
